SB-729 has been signed into law and expands mandates for fully insured large employers to offer expanded IVF coverage.

Beginning in July 2025:
-large group plans(employers with 100+ employees)must cover up to three cycles of oocyte (egg) retrievals for IVF purposes.
-small group plans(employers with 2 - 99 employees) must offer employers the option to supplement the policy to include the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and fertility services. There is not requirement for coverage to be included.
-SB 729 does not apply to self-insured/level-funded) plans.
